Cold Process 101

In this class, you will learn the basics of cold process soap making. We will talk about lye safety, calculating recipes, and design planning. After, I'll walk you through the entire process from mixing your ingredients to pouring your final soap. You may choose to return in the next 48hrs to cut your soap and take it home! (Can't make it in 48hrs? I will cut the soap for you and have it available to pick up at your convenience.) Please keep in mind that it is recommended to let your soap cure in a dry, well ventilated area for 4-6 weeks (or longer!) for best results, although it will be safe to use after 48hrs.

Advanced Cold Process

Melt and Pour Basics

Not ready to work with lye or just want a shorter, more laid back experience? Give melt and pour a go! We'll talk about the differences between cold process and melt and pour as well as designing your soap. The finished product will be ready to take home at the end of your class.

Time: 60min
Fee: $75

Advanced Melt and Pour

So you've got the hang of melt and pour but you just can't get enough! Consider this "course" open studio time to experiment with a mentor just within arms reach for any questions or suggestions you might need! This course includes 1lb of melt and pour soap, but more can be added for an additional fee. (Must take Melt and Pour Basics before this class. Exceptions on a case by case basis.)
